Lolsnake

For Berlin-based DJ and visual artist Lolsnake (she/they), sound operates as an ancient, pre-verbal dialect. The Iraqi-American selector builds dynamic, high-concept collages anchored in deep, hypnotic techno—layering glinting metallic textures over smoky, cavernous room acoustics. Rather than riding flat loops, her sets hinge on sudden, surreal plot twists designed to derail expectations mid-groove, shifting the floor from interior reverie to collective catharsis. Driven by an urge to leave crowds “raging and crying at the same time,” Lolsnake crafts psychedelic, cinematic narratives that push past standard dance floor mechanics.

That philosophy extends to weeeirdos, the party series and curatorial platform she founded in 2017 to feature emerging queer talent; today, the project holds a residency at Säule, Berghain’s ground-floor space, while touring internationally
