Cécile Lacharme

Cécile Lecharme

Cécile Lacharme is a French cellist and composer creating immersive instrumental music that sits between neoclassical composition, ambient electronics and contemporary sound art.

Performing alone with cello, live looping and a carefully designed spatial sound system, she transforms a single instrument into rich, orchestral soundscapes. Layering loops, textures and subtle electronics in real time, her performances unfold like cinematic journeys, moving between moments of stillness, tension and release.

Her acclaimed debut album, Dérives (2026), explores themes of ecological uncertainty and human resilience through expansive compositions inspired by landscapes, water and the natural world. Presented in Dolby Atmos, the record reflects the immersive experience at the heart of her live performances.

Alongside her solo work, Cécile is an in-demand collaborator, performing and recording with artists including Queens of the Stone Age, Hoshi, Waxx, Snorri Hallgrímsson and Coline Rio. She has toured internationally across Europe, Canada and Australia, opened for artists including Joep Beving, Steph Strings, Sébastien Tellier and Zaho de Sagazan, and appeared on Queens of the Stone Age's Alive in the Catacombs project.

Whether performing in concert halls, contemporary venues or festivals, Cécile creates an intimate yet expansive live experience where a single cello becomes an entire orchestra.
