Ahmed Elghazoly, known as ZULI, is an Egyptian musician, producer, and sound artist based in Berlin.
His releases span labels such as UIQ, Haunter Records, Nashazphone, and Subtext, and his work has received support from artists including Aphex Twin, Autechre, Ben UFO, Bradley Zero, and Richie Hawtin.
Working across club music, experimental electronics, and rap production, his work is characterized by detailed sound design, shifting rhythmic structures, and an approach that moves fluidly between physical club spaces and more exploratory listening contexts.
Alongside his solo work, he co-runs the label irsh with Rama, which releases new music and curates events, including a residency at OHM in Berlin between 2023 and 2025.
ZULI has been part of the NTS Radio roster since 2016, hosting a monthly show featuring guest DJs from across the global underground.
"For as long as he’s been putting out music, ZULI has stayed two steps ahead [...] his new album is a spellbinding fusion of atmosphere and texture, forever on the point of mutating into new shapes." - Philp Sherburne - Pitchfork (2024)
