Carmen Villain

Norwegian-Mexican artist and producer Carmen Villain makes atmospheric music. Weaving sonic tapestries with field recordings, acoustic instruments and electronics. Her experimental approach to production and composition results in an abstract soundscape rich in detail, permeated with beautiful harmonies and melodies.

Through releases for labels such as Smalltown Supersound (NO), Geographic North (USA) and Longform Editions (AUS), she has established herself as a unique voice.

Recent and forthcoming performances include Mutek, Dekmantel and Heart of Noize.

Her latest release, “Only Love From Now On” is released in early 2022.
